So many people have told me I shouldn't tell my story as it could damage my business but here I am struggling, knowing others would be in the same position and are ready to give up. But honestly what's worse, trying to start a new business and just seeing all the success businesses are achieving or seeing the ups and downs of a business and knowing you're not alone? I've almost gave up multiple times, I bet you didn't know that?
It's also probably a bad sign but as I was making the final touches to this post my internet shut itself down and I lost the whole thing. So here I am trying to remember what I wrote so I can retype, making sure I save after every sentence...
The industry is hard, especially when your style is quite unique and your RRP's are quite high in a world of fast fashion. I've almost given up on multiple occasions but most recently while I was on my "break" I had considered it more than I ever have before. I didn't know where to go from here or what to do next, I just wanted to throw in the towel and walk away. But then I remembered why I am doing this. The people I have met or known through this journey, the people who say they look up to me, the people who believe in me and my journey. I'm doing this for me, I'm doing this for them and I'm doing this for all the people out there who love the macabre, dark romance and victorian era.
It's going to get hard, you're going to get knocked down probably more than you're going to be picked up and you're going to have to learn to toughen your skin and pick yourself back up.
It's not easy and everyone's journey is different to another.
But I'm still here and I'm ready to kick it and shake up the industry again. I've got plans on moving forward and I cant wait for you to see what the future holds.
Just remember why you started in the first place, make sure your heart is in it and keep going.
