On June 23rd Dark Thorn Clothing held another fundraising event to help get Dark Thorn onto the runway at Paris Fashion Week. This time the event was held at a beautiful Victorian Era Historical building located in North Adelaide which set the scene for the night beautifully.
We had some amazing sponsors on board this time:
Davroe and their hairstylist team sponsored the hair and were also generous with gifting gift boxes of products for all guests, Colour Cosmetica provided the Makeup Artists for the night, Next Models Australia provided the models and Greg Cooley Wines and Mojo provided the beverages for the evening. Photography was covered by Ekateryna Bojic, runway film production was covered by Tori-Anne Gill and drink distribution and promotions were run by Padma Singh (Mrs World Australia Finalist) and her partner, Luke Bates.
The doors opened at 4pm allowing guests time to grab themselves a beverage, some nibbles and read through the timeline that had been placed around the venue documenting the journey Dark Thorn has taken over the past 5 years. From printed t-shirts, to relaunching Dark Thorn in November 2015 and opening for sales in March 2016 and now all the way to Paris Fashion Week.
The runway began at 7pm with MC Angela Pastore of Colour Cosmetica welcoming guests, introducing herself and introducing Dark Thorn. Angela has watched Dark Thorn blossom right from the beginning, Tori-Anne studied at Colour Cosmetics in 2013, the same year she began Dark Thorn with printed t-shirts.
Dark Thorn events are usually a friend and family production. Without the help from friends and family either setting up or covering some jobs on the day the events will never go ahead. So a huge thank you to everyone involved in the production, set up, runway production and shop.
