On April 1st Dark Thorn Clothing was a part of the RAW Adelaide Signature event. Working in collaboration with a hairstylist (Caitlin Prater) and makeup artist (Tiarna Lehmann) to get my clothing line on stage and viewed along with the hairstylist and makeup artist being able to showcase their capabilities and their work. 

With a months worth of preparation, the day came and to be honest it came and went so quickly. After setting up my section on the floor, models rocking up and showing them our room for hair and makeup, mingling to all the people admiring my work as well as family, getting the hair and makeup completed, getting the models into the outfits and then getting headshots taken it was then 10:00pm and almost time for Dark Thorn Clothing to get on stage.

After rushing around in the last dying minutes, running through the building to get through the back door in time for our show, we had just came pelting through the backdoor in time to get the first model on the runway. From the viewers point of view, everything seemed seamless and fluent which was the only thing that mattered. Raw Adelaide was a great experience for Dark Thorn Clothing and myself as a small emerging designer. Keep an eye out for more blog posts to come which will include images from different photographers from the event. Images of the models on the runway as well as headshots.
